Western U P Snowmobile Trail Report

We received about 6 inches of new snow overnight. Some places in our area received more than others.
Today’s temperatures will be 6, with lows tonight at -12. Tomorrow’s high will be 16. Saturday through Monday, the highs will be in the ’20s with lows in the teens. There will be snow showers on Saturday.
Please stay on marked trails. Riding on unmarked trails can result in the clubs losing easement for that trail.
Gogebic Range Trail Authority Groomer Report
Trails 2 and 8 have been groomed and are in good shape. 11N has not been groomed due to the swamp. They will try to get to that as soon as possible.
Gogebic Area Groomers Report
Trail 8e is thin towards Ewen, but conditions closer to Bergland are better. 1s to Marenisco is good until you get to the turnaround, where logging is active. 8w to Wakefield is frozen; there are no more water holes. 13s to the Root cellar or trail 100 is good but gets thin south of the root cellar. 13 n to Rockland was groomed. 102 and 1 are good, but with the traffic, they deteriorate in the afternoon.
U.P. Thunder Riders Trail Report
The whole system has been groomed. Some areas are good, and some are not so good. The grade has some rocks and gravel, but some areas are nice. West of Stagecoach Road, things get better, and Bond Falls north gets nice.
